Isn't the 920+ good enough to be used as a plex server? I've seen a lot of people running this as a server without any issues. I understand what you are saying but I have a couple of questions (more like doubts). I don’t know how to get a log file or know more about the server settings, but if someone could help me out, that would be great. 2) I prefer the plex interface over the other ones. I know emby works, but I am really trying to make plex work because 1) I paid for the plex pass when it was on sale last week. The videos I tried included 4K, 1080p, 720p, etc. It had been working all the time flawlessly, both on my Google TV as well as my phone. Two days ago, I installed Emby to check whether if something was wrong with my setup. On my S21, I think this is an issue with the app because when I choose an external player in the settings of the Plex App, the movie or video will play without problems (2nd Screenshot). When it plays, it does without any problems, but the same loading forever screen appears on Google TV too. Comparatively more successful play rate, about 70% of the time. Same issue with my Chromecast with Google TV downstairs. Plex Player on my Samsung S21+ loads forever and never plays the video (1st screenshot).īut when it plays (about 30% of the time), it works perfectly without any stutters or buffering. (I can attain those speeds using ethernet and around 600-700 using Wi-Fi) My internet speeds are 900mbps, and I use an Asus AX86U router. (Interestingly, I didn’t see the problem while remote streaming) I’m talking about streaming while on Local Network. Sometimes it plays after like 30 seconds, but it would start buffering and is unwatchable. The problem I’m having is Plex won’t load sometimes or is loading infinitely. I am hosting my server using Synology 920+ NAS and have 2x 8TB WD drives using SHR. If someone could help me to fix it, that would be great. It’s been almost two weeks since I started using Plex, and I still can’t make it work properly.
